THREE ABGA OPEN SHOWS  

 

 

 

WE WILL NOT BE HOSTING A MARKET SHOW AT THE MARCH SHOW THIS YEAR

 

PEN FEES:

 

ALL EXHIBITORS WILL BE CHARGED  A PEN FEE...IF AFTER THE SHOW YOU DECIDE TO CLEAN YOUR OWN PEN. THE PEN FEE WILL BE REFUNDED TO YOU.  ALL PENS ARE NUMBERED. PLEASE REGISTER YOUR PEN NUMBERS WITH SHOW SECRETARY AFTER YOU HAVE MADE YOUR SELECTION.

 

First come first serve basis...you may request pens ahead of time, we will do our best, but do not guarantee pens will be reserved.

 

OPEN SHOW RULES

The ABGA sanctions this show and its rules shall govern.  All registered animals welcomed, regardless of registering organization.  Points will be awarded in Official Divisions as outlined by the ABGA Show Rules.   (see ABGA web site for rules)

Early Entry Deadline:  MARCH  19, 2010 --$10.00 per entry.  Late Entry Deadline: ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED UP UNTIL  ONE HOUR BEFORE THE SHOW, $15.00 per  LATE entry.   SUBSTITUTIONS may be made by MARCH 19, 2010  with no fee.  ALL OTHER Substitutions  will be charged a fee of $5.00/each. Substitutions at the show will be $10.00 each.

NO REFUND ON SHOW ENTRIES. PEN FEES RETURNED ONLY IF YOU CLEAN YOUR OWN PENS.

Animals showing in the Open Division on  MARCH 27,  must be in place by at least an hour before the show    The earlier the better to make the show move along more smoothly...........

TENTATIVE SHOW START TIME IS  at 9:00 A.M. FOR BOTH SHOWS.

Animals showing in the Open Division MARCH 28, 2010 show,  must be in place by 8:00 a.m.  Show will begin at 9:00 a.m. Animals not showing both days may leave the grounds at completion of their show.

Base date for computing animal's age is date of show.  PLEASE BE AWARE OF ANIMALS BIRTH DATE...SOME ANIMALS MAY BE REQUIRED TO MOVE UP TO THE NEXT CLASS DEPENDING ON THE SHOW DATE AND THE DOB OF THE ANIMAL.

A registration certificate is required for all animals.  Tattoo's must be legible and match the registration papers.  FAXED VERIFICATION FROM THE ABGA OFFICE IS PERMITTED.

All goats must have a current health certificate as required by the state of Arkansas.  It is the owner's responsibility

to conform to all interstate transport laws, in compliance with current USDA animal movement restrictions. Registration

certificates and current health papers must be presented to show secretary prior to show. Arkansas State Veterinarian

will inspect all animals and will bar from the grounds any animal that is obviously sick, diseased, or parasite infected. 

Animals not being shown are prohibited, unless a kid is nursing. Then the kid and doe must have current health papers.

 

No artificial coloring allowed.

Bedding will be available for purchase at the show.  Or you may bring your own bedding,  NO STRAW...

The hosts of the show reserve the right to limit exhibitors from participating.  The hosts of the show will have final say on any matter that may come up for discussion concerning the production of the show.  Exhibitors are expected to help keep the barn, and alley ways clean.

 

These rules are subject to change at the discretion of the show hosts.

 

By registering for the show exhibitors, guests and visitors agree that the host of the show and the Greene County Fair Association are not responsible for any loss or damages to property, goats or person while attending the show.
